Harder, Better, Faster Japan

Our blog this month is on Japan- A hyperactive dichotomy of tradition meets unconvention. We spent three fascinating weeks in a country that is deeply rooted in its customs, yet is progressive and on a continuous mission to make everything Harder, Better, Faster (our number one karaoke song of choice in Tokyo). Japan fed our tired, western minds with its desire to be ahead of the curve in music and fashion culture. Harajuku Girls strut their eccentric style on their own Shabuya street catwalk and gigantic posters of virtual pop stars loom over Akihabara, the Electric Town of Toyko. Crepe Records interviews DJ Kitt Proudfoot

Happy New Year! To break you out of your January blues y'all, we've managed to track down DJ Kitt in Berlin and delved into his music inspiration! Disco Snail explains why we should all care about slow fashion

Music, ethics and fashion make up the beating heart of Crepe Records, and we proudly operate with slow fashion values to create our lifestyle brand. We know this term can be a little confusing so we enlisted the help of Disco Snail to explain exactly what it means and why we are so passionate about it. Take it away D.S…  You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘slow fashion’ but do you know what it really means, what it stands for, and why you should care? As well as getting down to the laid-back grooves that feature on many disco beats, I like to apply this down tempo penchant to fashion too. That doesn’t mean that I value style any...
